Melbourne festival to screen ‘Sun Children’

The Melbourne Int’l Film Festival in Australia is to screen Iranian feature ‘Sun Children’.

The Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia has been set to screen Iranian feature ‘Sun Children’ by Majid Majidi.

Majidi’s film will take part in the 69th edition of the Aussie festival.

‘Sun Children’ is about child labor. It narrates the story of a 12-year-old boy and his three friends, who have been asked by a neighborhood crime boss to find a treasure buried underground.

The film was one of the winners of the Collateral Awards at the 77th Venice International Film Festival in Italy.

‘Sun Children’ also brought Rouhollah Zamani, one of the teenagers who took part in the movie, the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Italian event.

The movie was also named the Best Film at the 38th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian stars Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Ali Nasiriyan, and Tannaz Tabatabaee have taken part in the flick.

The Melbourne International Film Festival is one of the world’s oldest film festivals and the Southern Hemisphere’s largest.

The upcoming edition of the event will take place on August 5-22.
